How is the water disinfected?

We use chlorine dioxide and chloramines (a compound formed by combining ammonia and chlorine) to protect against harmful microorganisms.

Chloramines are more stable than chlorine in the water distribution system, and chloramine residuals help maintain consistent water quality.
